• Kristen Henry (Guardianship: What DSPs Need to KNOW)

    Kristen Henry is the Executive Director of Advocacy and Protective Services, Inc. (APSI), which provides guardianship and other protective services to approximately 3,300 adults with developmental disabilities in Ohio. She is an attorney with experience advocating for individuals with disabilities on issues related to guardianship, Medicaid, and civil rights. In this session, Kristen covers the basic meaning of guardianship, including the guardian’s role and authority. Participants will develop an understanding of guardianship, consent, and how DSPs can support the people they serve who have guardians or who need support making decisions on their own.
